In two weeks, the Wyoming Gaming Library will host its second annual Cheyenne Gaming Convention at the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center between April 22 and April 24.
According to a press release obtained from Zavier Bates of the Library, the convention will have booths and vendors representing card, board, video, tabletop, and miniatures games.
The convention will host a Settlers of Catan National Qualifying tournament, a Dungeons and Dragons epic, and many events for the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering.
New activities for this year’s convention include an after party at Flippers Family Arcade Saturday evening, a Warhammer 40K Grand Tournament hosted by Olympus Games and Comics, and food trucks.
The convention is accessible for families and has games for all ages. Entry for the convention is done by tickets and badges. A three day badge will cost $50, weekend badges cost $40 and a one day badge costs $25. Some events may also have extra charges. Children younger than ten years old will have free entry if they are accompanied by an adult with a badge.
Any proceeds generated from the convention will go toward the Wyoming Gaming Library. The Library’s goal is to provide all kinds of gaming resources to community organizations like schools and hospitals across Wyoming at no cost.
The first Cheyenne Gaming Convention happened April 20, 2019, with more than 300 attendees participating. More details about the convention can be found on its website and Facebook pages. People who want to learn more about the Wyoming Gaming Library can find them on Facebook and their website.
